We offer a range of financing solutions including personal finance, business finance (invoice finance, asset finance, working capital and vendors), money transfer and micro-insurance.

At First Money Financial Services, we believe that inclusive finance requires the provision of simple, appropriate and affordable financial services to those who have historically been excluded from the formal financial sector

  • Tawanda Jonasi

    Chairman

    • A qualified lawyer who holds an LLBS and LLM from the University of Zimbabwe. He is the Chairman of the board responsible for board unification and governance. He is a founding Partner at Jonasi Attorneys in Zimbabwe.

  • Macjones Hunduza

    Chief Financial Officer

    • A highly accomplished Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and a seasoned private equity professional with a distinguished track record at the board level. With exceptional financial leadership skills gained in a high-performance environment, Mac possesses astute business instincts and a broad commercial acumen. He brings extensive expertise in corporate planning, corporate finance, and mergers & acquisitions acquired in top-tier multinationals including Big 4 audit, private equity and the financial services space. An MBA holder and alumnus of Durham University Business School.

  • Trinity Masunungure

    Managing Director

    • A seasoned microfinance professional with over 10 years of experience. Trinity holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree from National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and is also pursuing a Master of Science in Strategic Management with Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT). Has worked for FMC Finance Zimbabwe and was instrumental in opening FMC Finance Zambia. He also worked for Mustard Seed Advisory before joining First Money Microfinance.

  • Tapfumanei Nyawanza

    Non Executive Director

    • A qualified and senior lawyer who holds LLBS from the University of Zimbabwe and an LLM in Economic Law from Warwick University. Taffi is the Principal of Genesis Law Associates Solicitors based in the United Kingdom. He is admitted to practice in both the UK and Zimbabwe.

  • Tsitsi Makuve

    Non Executive Director

    • A seasoned and talented microfinance practitioner who holds a Master's degree in Finance and Investment from Midlands State University. She has previously worked with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe's compliance and monitoring team. She is also studying towards a PHD programme.

  • Custon Bonyongwa

    Finance Manager

    • A seasoned qualified accountant with over 5 years of professional experience. Custon is a full CIS holder with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in Zimbabwe (ICASZ) and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Great Zimbabwe University (GZU). In previous roles, he has worked for BDO Tax & Advisory Services Zimbabwe as well as Zimbabwe Agricultural Society.

  • Nester Mandebvu

    Business Development Manager

    • A qualified microfinance professional with 4 years experience. Nester holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Banking and Finance from Midlands State University (MSU). She is currently studying an Executive Certificate in Microfinance and Entrepreneurship with the Zimbabwe Association of Microfinance Institution (ZAMFI).

  • Josephine Machakaire

    Compliance Officer

    • A seasoned compliance officer with 4 years experience in the microfinance space from her previous role as a Business Analyst. Josephine holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Information Systems from Midlands State University and is currently pursuing an Executive Certificate in Microfinance and Entrepreneurship with the Zimbabwe Association of Microfinance Institution (ZAMFI).

    • A self starter that excels in creative, digital and technical environments that has built his own digital agency from the ground up. Sean is a strategic thinker with significant experience and expertise in understanding how to leverage digital technologies, branding and marketing to deliver real business growth. With the knowledge gained from working with over 150 businesses around the world and the resources of his agency, Sean is in a great position to help shape a successful digital future for First Money.

  • Chris Healey

    Fintech

    • An experienced HR & Financials Technology practitioner with vast experience across all industries. Chris has held various positions at companies ranging from Lloyds Bank, PwC, KPMG & his last corporate role before becoming a freelance consultant was as a Director at Deloitte UK LLP. He holds a diverse portfolio of credentials including Lean Six Sigma & a Computer Science Certification from Harvard University. His ability to look to the future of managing organisations through their digital footprint plays a pivotal role at managing the technology infrastructure at First Money.

  • Dr Sibert Mandega

    Investment

    • A medical doctor at the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. He also holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and has completed all the three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is also a director of Destiny Financial Services, a UK based financial consultancy providing insurance products.

  • Dr Estelle Brack

    Business Development and Payments

    • An expert leader, Estelle is a program director for payments at the 2nd largest French Bank, BPCE (Banques, Populaires – Caisses d’Epargne). She was previously the deputy director for European and International Affairs at the French Banking Federation (chair of the Statistics Working Group of the European Banking Federation and a member of the International Affairs and the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committees). She is also an expert in promoting access to finance and financial education, with a strong interest in the MENA and Africa countries. She is also a senior lecturer at the University Paris-II Pantheon-Assas and at iReMMO. She earned a PhD in economics (Honors) from Paris-II Pantheon-Assas University in 1997.
